Custom-Designed lattice towers to meet the transmission industry’s most demanding requirements
By combining state of the art manufacturing facilities with a highly experienced team of professionals, FWT, Inc. is now offering an impressive line of custom designed lattice towers to the electrical transmission industry. Using PLS TOWER and STAAD Pro design software, FWT engineering efficiently designs each tower and foundation to comply with specific customer requirements. Additionally, industry standards including AISC, ASCE, EIA/TIA-222, NESC and NEMA are taken into account during the design process. Once designed, FWT’s drafting/detailing department generates all required fabrication drawings as well as clear and concise assembly drawings for use during tower erection.
Tower materials are fabricated within FWT’s 200,000 square foot facilities. These facilities house a host of modern equipment including three NC controlled angle lines, a high speed milling machine and numerous fit-up and weld-out stations. An extensive quality assurance program* ensures that all materials comply with the design specifications. After inspection, materials are routed to an on-site galvanizing facility where they receive the specified protective coating. Once complete, all parts receive a final inspection and are then inventoried and readied for shipment in an on-site staging area.
